Wallet: Income Expense Tracker (“Wallet”, “we”, “our”, or “the App”) is a privacy-focused personal finance application that helps users track income, expenses, budgets, savings, transactions, and personal financial records.
Wallet is designed for users of all ages and follows a local-first, offline-first approach.
1. No Account or Login
Wallet does not require users to:
- Create an account
- Sign in or log in
- Provide an email address
- Provide a phone number
- Use Google Sign-In
- Create a password
Users can use the App directly after installation.
2. Information Stored by the App
Wallet allows users to voluntarily enter and manage financial information such as:
- Income
- Expenses
- Transaction amounts
- Categories
- Notes
- Dates and times
- Payment methods
- Local accounts or wallets
- Budgets
- Savings goals
- Recurring expenses
- Subscription records
- Merchant information
- Receipt images, if the user chooses to attach them
This information is primarily stored locally on the user’s device and is used to provide the App’s functionality.
Wallet does not require users to upload their financial records to our servers.
3. Auto Expense Detection
Wallet may provide an optional Auto Expense Detection feature.
If the user voluntarily enables Android Notification Access, Wallet may process relevant payment notifications to identify transaction information such as:
- Amount
- Merchant or payment application name
- Date and time
- Possible transaction type
The purpose of this feature is to help the user quickly record expenses.
Where technically possible, notification information is processed locally on the device.
Wallet does not use Notification Access to collect unrelated notification information for advertising, profiling, or unrelated purposes.
Users can disable Notification Access at any time through Android device settings.
Confirmation Before Adding Expenses
Detected transactions may appear as pending suggestions.
For example:

The user can:
- Confirm
- Edit
- Ignore
The App should not silently add detected transactions without the user’s control.
4. SMS and Call Data
Wallet does not require access to SMS messages, call logs, contacts, or phone calls for its core expense tracking functionality.
5. Receipt Images
Users may optionally attach receipt images to their expenses.
Receipt images are used only to provide the receipt management functionality and are intended to remain on the user’s device.
Wallet does not require users to upload receipt images to an external server.
6. No Advertising
Wallet does not display advertisements.
The App does not use advertising SDKs or advertising networks to show ads to users.
7. No Premium or Paid Features
Wallet does not require a subscription or Premium purchase for its features.
The App is designed to provide its available expense tracking features without requiring users to purchase Premium access.
8. No Sale of Personal Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade users’ personal or financial information to third parties.
We do not use users’ financial records for targeted advertising.
9. No Online Financial Data Collection
Wallet does not require users to provide:
- Bank account passwords
- UPI PINs
- ATM PINs
- Credit/debit card PINs
- Banking login credentials
- OTPs
Users should never enter such sensitive credentials into the App.
Wallet is an expense tracking tool and does not provide banking or payment processing services.
10. Offline Operation
The core functionality of Wallet is designed to work without an internet connection.
Users can use the App offline to:
- Add expenses
- Add income
- Manage transactions
- Create budgets
- Manage categories
- Manage accounts
- Track savings goals
- View local analytics
- Search transactions
- Manage recurring expenses
An internet connection is not required for normal local expense tracking.
11. Backup and Export
Wallet may provide optional manual backup and export functionality.
If the user chooses to export or back up their data, the resulting file is controlled by the user.
Users are responsible for protecting exported or backed-up financial information.
Wallet does not require automatic cloud backup.
12. Data Security
Wallet is designed to keep financial information on the user’s device.
Users may also use available App Lock or device security features such as:
- PIN
- Password
- Fingerprint
- Biometric authentication
No method of electronic storage can guarantee absolute security. Users should keep their device protected and avoid sharing exported financial files with unauthorized persons.
13. Children’s and All-Ages Privacy
Wallet is designed for users of all ages.
The App does not require users to create an account or provide personal information to use its core features.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Because Wallet does not require an online account or intentionally collect personal information from users, the App is designed to minimize privacy risks for users of different age groups.
Parents or guardians can contact us if they have questions or concerns regarding the App’s privacy practices.
14. Data Deletion
Users can delete their locally stored financial records using the deletion features provided within the App, where available.
Users may also remove the App from their device.
Any exported files or manually created backups are separate from the App and must be deleted by the user from the location where they were saved.
15. Third-Party Services
Wallet does not use advertising services.
The App does not require third-party authentication or cloud accounts for its core functionality.
If future versions introduce third-party services, this Privacy Policy will be updated as necessary before or when those services are introduced.
16. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy if the App’s functionality, data practices, or applicable requirements change.
Any updated version will include a new “Last Updated” date.
